A realistic route through the material using what Bourse Prep already does, from a cold diagnostic to a readiness score you can trust.
Buying question banks is easy. Using one well is not. This is the sequence we would suggest, and every step below describes something the product actually does today rather than something planned.
Step 1
Start with a set across all eight chapters before you revise anything: your first Study now set in the app is spread across the chapters by exam weight, and the free demo covers all eight too. It is uncomfortable and it is the highest value hour of the whole plan, because it replaces a guess about your weak areas with a measurement. Your first answer to each question is what counts, which is the point: the first answer is the one that shows whether you knew it or worked it out afterwards.
Step 2
Practise chapter by chapter, starting with the ones the diagnostic exposed rather than with Chapter 1. Remember the shape of the paper: Chapters 5 and 7 carry 21 questions each, Chapter 3 carries 14, and Chapter 1 carries 4. Every question tells you why the option you chose was wrong, not just which was right, so a wrong answer is worth more than a lucky correct one.
Step 3
Do not try to learn formulas inside general practice. Formula Lab has 25 lessons and 177 drills, each lesson built around recognising which formula a question wants before you apply it. The drills run the formulas backwards as well as forwards, which is where most of the difficulty in ICWIM calculations actually sits.
Step 4
Your readiness score shows which chapters meet the standard and which do not: each chapter needs a minimum number of new Practice questions, set by its exam weight, with at least 70 percent right first time, and full credit comes at its target number of questions with 80 percent right. Go back to the ones below the line. Re-reading a chapter you already score well on feels productive and changes nothing.
Step 5
100 questions, 120 minutes, weighted to the published specification. Nothing is revealed while you are in it: no score, no explanations, no feedback, exactly as in the real paper. The clock runs from the server, so closing the tab does not pause it.
Step 6
Once you submit, every question opens up: your answer, the correct answer, why your choice was wrong where it applies, and the principle behind it. Questions you left blank are explained too, because a question you skipped is one you did not know.
Step 7
Readiness combines coverage, first answer accuracy, chapter breadth and mock performance. It is deliberately hard to inflate by repeating questions you already know. When it stops moving, more practice on the same material is not what is holding you back.
That depends on your starting point and how much time you have, and anyone who gives you a precise number has invented it. What we can say is what the material contains: 1,200 questions across 116 learning objectives, 25 formula lessons with 177 drills, and a 100 question Master Exam. Our access periods are 30, 90 and 180 days for that reason, on the pricing page.
There are no video lectures, no live classes and no tutor. Bourse Prep is a practice and diagnosis tool, and it works alongside the official CISI workbook rather than replacing it. If you have not read the workbook, read it. This is what you use afterwards to find out whether the reading worked.
You can try the first step now. The free demo is 15 questions drawn from the same bank, covering all eight chapters, with the reasoning shown after each answer.
No card. The answer is only revealed once you have committed to one.
